Steve & Mark
Just thought I would drop you a line with feedback about my new
board.
After all the emails and phone calls to Mark about sizes and
colours, I finally got to meet Steve while on hols at Croyde last
week and pick up my new retro twin fish. I was totally blown away
by it. It was better than I could've imagined!!!!! To top it all
off Steve had all the time in the world (even though I was over an
hour late) to explain how he's made it, what I should expect from
the design and just have a chat about life and surfing in general.
Both top blokes!!!
I
had to wait a few more days before I could get it in the water as
luck would have it there were no waves. When I finally got in at
Croyde the day before we had to leave the board was amazing! I'm
used to an 8ft mal that could catch anything. But if on the 6' 8"
fish my wave count was even higher and so easy to ride!!! It has
already moved my surfing onto another level.
When I got back my mates had been nearly as excited as me waiting
for a go, as we don't get many of the retro stuff up here. They
have been surfing a lot longer than me and they were amazed at the
quality in both the board and the ride, and are currently trying to
work out how to get some money together so they can get one too.
I
now cant wait for the Autumn swells back up in sunny Tynemouth and
will be back to see Steve and Mark next summer for one of their
longboards.
